Installation overview
Plan the Basin, Wall and Utility Access as One System
Use this overview for planning and follow the official basin and pump manuals for complete instructions. Wall construction and spout mounting requirements depend on the selected spout and site.
Choose the Location
Select a viewing area with practical access to water and a dry, GFCI-protected outlet. Coordinate the basin centerline with the wall-spout outlet.
Mark & Excavate
Trace the basin 3–4 inches wider than its footprint, then excavate 16 inches straight down. Remove sharp rocks and roots.
Prepare a Level Base
Level and tamp sand or small gravel. Set the basin with its notched lip oriented toward the power source and check level in every direction.
Backfill & Route Power
Backfill and tamp around the basin to prevent movement. Leave a shallow 1–2 inch trench for the pump cord as directed in the basin guide.
Connect the System
Install the pump, BodyGuard sock, discharge components and tubing. Mount and connect the separately purchased spout according to its instructions.
