Overview

Made in Saginaw, Michigan, Blue Thumb’s GFRC Fountain Basins feature a flat, supported top deck with recessed plumbing channels and a pocket for a manifold. The 2×2 Fountain Basin is designed for lightweight fountains with minimal water movement and is part of Blue Thumb’s handcrafted GFRC fountain system lineup.

Note: Follow your specific fountain kit instructions when choosing a basin. Heavier fountains such as vase or real-stone units may require an AquaBox® Basin for proper load support and long-term protection.

How It Works

The 2×2 Fountain Basin collects and recirculates water from compatible fountains. The recessed channel system neatly routes plumbing while the internal pocket houses a manifold for distributing water. A grate and screen system help prevent debris from entering the reservoir, and the supported deck ensures stability for small lightweight fountains.

    Great Basin Replacement

    I needed to replace the leaky basin in my Klamath fountain (entirely my fault---neglected to drain it for several winters, allowing the water to become ice, which caused multiple cracks, and therefore, leaks.) I was really happy to find this replacement at a very reasonable price, including shipping. Great service: arrived in a very timely fashion. The basin's been somewhat modified (improved) over the original, but the dimensions are still the same, making it easy to pull the old one out and drop the new one in. The construction is first-rate and sturdy and should perform well for many years...provided I am responsible and remember to do the drain thing each winter!
