Plan for More Than the Stream Length
The 16-foot stream length is not the total installation footprint.
You'll also need space for the underground reservoir containing five Small AquaBlox® modules and the Pondless® Waterfall Vault.
Allow additional room for excavation, decorative stone, landscape grading, plumbing, equipment access, and the waterfall's elevation changes.

Which Medium Waterfall Kit Should You Choose?

Both are complete equipment systems, but their pump controls, water storage, and included accessories differ.
Compare the complete equipment lists and plan your actual waterfall elevation before selecting either kit.
Pump figures are maximum manufacturer-rated flow values, not guaranteed installed flow. Stream measurements are approximate planning guidelines. The final waterfall design determines actual performance and footprint.
Planning and Installing Your Pondless® Waterfall
Installing a 16-foot waterfall requires careful planning, excavation, grading, plumbing, liner installation, and decorative stonework.
The following stages provide an overview. Follow the current Aquascape installation instructions and component manuals for the complete procedure.
Plan Your Waterfall Layout
Select the installation area, mark the stream path, plan the waterfall elevation, and locate the underground reservoir. Have buried utilities marked before excavation.
Prepare the Reservoir
Lay out the five Small AquaBlox® modules and Pondless® Vault. Prepare the excavation according to Aquascape's installation requirements and provide a firm, level base.
Install Liner and Storage
Install protective underlayment and EPDM liner. Position the AquaBlox® modules and pump vault according to the manufacturer's instructions. Keep pump access available.
Install Pump and Plumbing
Place the AquaSurge® pump in the vault and install the check valve assembly. Connect the 2-inch PVC pipe to the Waterfall Spillway using the specified fittings.
Build the Stream and Waterfall
Arrange decorative boulders and gravel to form the waterfall and stream. Position the spillway and use waterfall foam where directed to guide water over the rockwork.
Fill, Test, and Configure
Fill the reservoir and confirm the proper water level. Test the waterfall circulation, configure the Smart Pump Receiver, and connect the lighting and dosing equipment according to their instructions.
Important Installation Considerations
The AquaSurge® pump requires properly grounded, GFCI-protected electrical service. Do not use an extension cord with the pump.
Keep the pump properly submerged while operating. Running the pump without adequate water can cause damage.
Do not permanently trim the stream liner before filling and testing the waterfall. Check for splashing and water escaping the stream.

Adjusting Waterfall Flow
The AquaSurge® 2000-4000 pump includes a Smart Pump Receiver that supports adjustable water flow and scheduled operation through the Aquascape Smart Control App.

The included lighting package contains two 1-watt Waterfall Lights, a 60-watt transformer with photocell, a splitter, and an extension cable.
