The SolarSeries Battery Backup solar powered pond aerator has 24-volt DC SilentAir compressor(s) along with 12-volt AMG batteries. The batteries store energy during the day (even in low-light conditions) and power the system at night, for up to 24 hours of operation. Each battery drive system is housed in a durable, lightweight powder-coated aluminum cabinet for long-lasting equipment protection.

SolarSeries aeration systems are designed to the highest quality standards, making them long-lasting, low maintenance, and with near-silent operation. Best of all, once it is installed, your SolarSeries solar pond aerator will be powered with 100% renewable energy and zero operating costs.

The SolarSeries comes standard with American made, high-quality, high-output solar panels that power to the industry-leading Airmax aeration system.

Battery Backup systems also come standard with a smart controller with Bluetooth technology, allowing you to monitor run-time as well as view system charging status, voltage, and amperage, all from your smartphone.

Aeration provides many benefits to the health of a pond such as muck reduction, water clarity, reduced algae, and fish health. These benefits are optimized when aeration operates approximately 24 hours per day.

When to Use

Airmax SolarSeries solar aerators for ponds are ideal for customers who are looking for an alternative-energy option or for those who have a remote pond with no access to electricity. Airmax solar pond aerators are powerful enough to aerate ponds up to 2 acres, 20 feet deep. A direct drive solar pond aerator increases circulation and aeration, up to 12 hours each day. By aerating your pond from the bottom up, you'll circulate incredible amounts of water, drastically increasing the dissolved oxygen levels in your water column. This increased oxygen allows for increased levels of beneficial bacteria to accumulate in your pond resulting in reduced pond odors and muck accumulation.

How to Use

Airmax SolarSeries Aeration Systems can be installed at the edge of your pond or several hundred feet away utilizing Airmax Direct Burial Airline**. The SolarSeries Direct Drive solar powered pond aerator has a 24-volt DC SilentAir compressor housed in a thermoset fiberglass control panel that conveniently attaches to the solar panel mounting assembly.

The Airmax ProAir2 Weighted Diffusers can be connected to the Airmax control panel using EasySet Weighted Airline and fitting sets. The ProAir2 Weighted Diffuser should be placed near the deepest areas of your pond and distributed equally to promote adequate aeration throughout the entire waterbody.

Airmax SolarSeries Aeration Systems are designed to run year-round***. Be sure to follow the included installation instructions when running your Airmax Aeration SolarSeries for the first time. Please call for additional information 888-619-3474.

**Airmax Direct Burial Airline is not included but should be used when trenching airline underground while Airmax EasySet Weighted Airline is intended for underwater use.

***When running your solar powered aerator system for the first time be sure to follow the start-up instructions in your user manual to prevent rapid pond turn-overs and fish kills. If you use your pond for recreation in the winter, you should turn off and store your aeration system as it creates thin ice and potential fall-through hazards.
