The Blue Thumb Splash Apron extends the water-collection area around an Achelous or Altum AquaBox® basin. It arrives uncut so it can be tailored around the fountain layout, helping direct captured overspray back toward the concealed reservoir instead of the surrounding landscape.

What Is Not Included

Important: Confirm the fountain position, plumbing route and pump-access location before cutting. A splash apron can reduce avoidable overspray loss, but it does not eliminate evaporation, wind-driven loss or the need to monitor the reservoir water level.

Set the Basin
When using the apron, Blue Thumb's AquaBox® guide calls for setting the basin approximately 1½ inches below grade.
Slope and Trim
Slope the surrounding terrain toward the basin, then carefully trim the uncut apron around the confirmed fountain layout.
Test Before Finishing
Run the fountain and observe water return before adding decorative stone and completing the surrounding landscape.

Does the splash apron arrive pre-cut?
No. It is supplied uncut so the installer can tailor it around the specific fountain and basin layout. Confirm all component locations before cutting.
Is the fountain basin included?
No. This listing is for the splash apron accessory only. The basin, fountain, pump, plumbing, decorative stone and installation materials are sold separately unless another kit listing states otherwise.

Will it stop all fountain water loss?
No. The apron helps capture overspray. Evaporation, wind, fountain flow and site grade still affect water loss, so check the reservoir water level regularly.
