Pond Cleaner contains billions of ammonia, nitrite and nitrate removing bacteria. The beneficial bacteria inside are designed by nature to utilize these substances as a food source and subsequently remove them from the pond water. Pond Cleaner has been used for decades to seed filters, clear water and reduce harmful ammonia and nitrite levels in a pond environment. The result is safer, cleaner water for fish and plants.

Pond Cleaner can be used in ponds, lakes, fountains, bubblers and disappearing waterfall features. It is safe for use with fish, plants, birds or domestic animals that drink from the pond!

This routine can keep the pond water clear, clean, and healthy throughout the season.

1. Combining Treatments for Best Results:

The most effective way to clear pond water is to use Pond Cleaner in tandem with Muck Buster. Together, they form a powerful, yet safe, water treatment system:

• Pond Cleaner removes suspended organic debris, ammonia, and nitrite from the water, clearing it effectively.

• Muck Buster breaks down the sludge and debris that has settled at the bottom of the pond, preventing buildup.

2. Avoid Simultaneous Use with Algaecide:

It’s important not to use either Pond Cleaner or Muck Buster alongside an algaecide. Although these treatments are safe for fish and wildlife, algaecides can destroy the beneficial bacteria and natural enzymes that make Pond Cleaner and Muck Buster effective.

Algaecide stops the growth of algae but doesn’t remove it. After treating with an algaecide, wait 3-5 days before using Pond Cleaner and Muck Buster to remove dead algae.

3. General Maintenance Regimen:

For effective pond maintenance during the warm, sunny months, it is recommended to alternate the treatments weekly:

• Use algaecide one week to control algae growth.

• Apply Pond Cleaner and Muck Buster the following week to clear out organic debris and sludge.
