Installation overview
Plan, Connect and Aim
Use this overview for project planning. Follow the official instructions for the complete connection sequence and safety requirements.
Choose positions
Plan each focal point and verify that every attached 30-foot cord reaches the shared splitter without placing the 4-pin plug in water.
Prepare power
Use a properly grounded, weatherproof power point within reach. Have a qualified electrician install one when needed.
Place the lights
Fit each weighted base, set the light body in the intended position and route the cord so it cannot be tripped over, pulled or damaged.
Connect the system
Connect the lights to the 5-way splitter, then connect the splitter, RF control module, photocell and transformer in the sequence shown in the manual. Tighten all locking collars.
Protect the controls
Keep the transformer, RF control module and photocell in a dry, protected location. Position the photocell where it can detect daylight.
Test after dark
Power the system, choose the photocell schedule, then fine-tune each light angle at night. Tighten the base thumb screws without overtightening.
Important Water and Electrical Safety
- Only the light body is submersible. Keep the plugs, splitter, transformer, RF controller and other power/control components dry and protected.
- Use the light only in clean water; the manual says not to use it in chlorinated water, salt water, solvents or flammable liquids, or in water above 95°F.
- Do not operate damaged lights, cords, transformers or other components. Unplug the system before maintenance, and do not cut the cord or attempt a repair.
Ownership and care
Keep Light Output Clear and Connections Protected
Inspect regularly
Check each light, cable and connection for damage. Stop using the system if a component is damaged.
Clean the lens
Unplug the system before maintenance and clean the glass lens regularly so buildup does not reduce light output.
Plan seasonal protection
The manual says not to install or store the lighting system where it will be exposed to extreme heat or cold. Use the official instructions to plan seasonal care for your climate.

Which option should I choose?
Choose a complete 1-, 2-, 3-, 4- or 5-light kit if you need both the lights and the PB2927 starter system. Choose Light Only only when you already have a compatible PB2927 or PBSGSP starter pack and need one add-on or replacement PB2910 light.
Will the Light Only option work by itself?
No. Light Only does not include the transformer, RF control module, remote, photocell or splitter. It requires a compatible IllumiGlow® starter pack.
Can different lights show different colors at the same time?
No. Compatible lights connected to one PB2927 starter pack operate together, displaying the same selected color or synchronized effect.
Can the lights be installed underwater?
The light body is suitable for use in or out of clean water. The plug and the rest of the power and control system are not submersible and must remain dry and protected.
How many lights can one PB2927 control?
One PB2927 controls up to five compatible 4-pin IllumiGlow® lights through its 5-way splitter.
How does the automatic timing work?
Place the photocell where it can detect daylight, then use its selection button to choose operation for 4 hours after dusk, 6 hours after dusk or dusk to dawn.
How far away can I use the remote?
The official instructions state a remote range of up to 40 feet from the RF control module. Site conditions may affect practical range.
What routine maintenance is required?
Regularly inspect the lights and cables for damage and clean the lenses for maximum output. Always unplug the system before maintenance.
