The C2 Kanji Fountain Kit combines a polished 18-inch gray granite cube with a concealed recirculating reservoir. Water bubbles from the centered opening, spreads across the flat top and flows over the cube’s four sides for a clean, architectural display.
This complete outdoor fountain kit includes the basin, pump, plumbing, decorative pebbles and installation supplies needed to create a self-contained water feature without an exposed pond.
Blue Thumb lists this C2 fountain as fully functional with slight cosmetic damage. Review the C2 gallery photographs carefully before ordering; the visible marks affect appearance but are not listed as affecting fountain operation.
Excavation tools, heavy-lifting equipment, site preparation materials, electrical service and a water supply are not listed as included. Lighting and an automatic water-fill system are optional additions.
Plan for the weight: The granite cube weighs approximately 550 lb. Arrange appropriate lifting equipment, sufficient help and a clear path to the prepared installation area before moving it.
Electrical safety: The submersible pump must remain underwater while operating. Connect its three-prong plug to a GFCI-protected outlet in a dry location, and unplug it before servicing or removing it from the water.
Routine care: Check the reservoir regularly and replace water lost to evaporation and splash. Keep debris away from the pump intake, clean the pump as needed and follow the treatment directions for the included MuckBuster® Tablets. An optional Fountain Basin Auto Fill Kit can reduce manual refilling.
Freezing climates: Before prolonged freezing conditions, remove the pump and store it in water where it cannot freeze. Blue Thumb directs owners to leave water in the buried basin over winter and permits the real stone fountain to remain outdoors. Once thawed in spring, clean the basin, add fresh water and reconnect the pump.
This Blue Thumb video demonstrates the Kanji fountain design in operation. Refer to the C2 gallery photographs for the finish and cosmetic condition of the fountain offered on this page.

This is a scratch-and-dent Kanji fountain. Blue Thumb lists it as fully functional with slight cosmetic damage. Review both gallery photographs to evaluate the visible surface marks before ordering.
Yes. The kit includes the granite cube, 36-inch Achelous basin, 660 gph pump, plumbing assembly, clear tubing, polished pebbles, MuckBuster® Tablets and an installation manual. Site services, tools and lifting equipment are not included.
The “36-inch” name refers to the basin’s grate and inner seat. The complete basin measures 39.5 inches in diameter and 16 inches high at the outer lip. Allow additional surrounding space for excavation, finishing materials and overspray.
The cube is centered on the basin grates while its tubing is routed through the drilled opening. Because the stone weighs approximately 550 lb, plan suitable lifting equipment and enough help before delivery and installation.
Yes. Water flows over the cube, passes through the polished pebbles and returns to the concealed 60-gallon reservoir. The submerged pump then sends it back through the fountain.
Blue Thumb states that the pump may run continuously or be connected to a timer. Keep the reservoir filled so the pump remains submerged; running it dry can damage the pump and void its warranty.
The pump has a three-prong plug and must be connected to a GFCI-protected outlet in a dry location protected from flooding. Do not cut the cord or direct-wire the pump.
In climates with prolonged freezing, remove the pump and store it in water where it will not freeze. Do not drain the buried basin for winter. The real stone fountain may remain outdoors; clean and refill the basin after everything thaws in spring.
