Keep your pond, Pond-less waterfall, or water feature running at the right water level with the Automatic Water Fill Kit - 1/2". This kit automatically replaces water lost from evaporation, helping reduce daily topping off and making your water feature easier to maintain.

As the water level drops inside the skimmer or Pump Canyon, the auto fill valve opens and allows fresh water to enter the system. Once the water rises back to the proper level, the valve closes. This simple automatic function helps protect your pump from running low on water and keeps your feature operating more consistently.

This auto fill kit is designed for use with Blue Thumb Elite Skimmers and Pump Canyon™ reservoirs. It is a great choice for pond and Pond-less waterfall applications where the water level can drop from evaporation, splash, wind, or regular use.

How It Works

The auto fill valve works like a compact refill system. When the water level inside the skimmer or Pump Canyon drops, the valve opens and allows water to flow into the reservoir area. As the water level rises, the internal float closes the valve and stops the flow. This keeps the water feature topped off without requiring constant checking or manual refilling.

For best results, install the auto fill kit where it can accurately read the operating water level of the system. In most pond and Pond-less waterfall applications, that means installing it inside the skimmer or Pump Canyon reservoir area.

Important Water Pressure Note

This kit has a 30 PSI maximum water pressure. For reliable performance, Blue Thumb strongly recommends using the 30 PSI Regulator with this auto fill kit. Water pressure over 30 PSI may cause the valve to operate continuously, which can lead to performance issues.

The Automatic Water Fill Kit - 1/2" is best suited for pond and Pond-less waterfall systems using Blue Thumb skimmers or Pump Canyons. Protective Underliner - A non-woven, protective underliner fabric forms a soft padding for the liner. It installs much quicker than newspaper and covers the vertical walls unlike sand. Unlike carpeting, it allows gases to escape out of the sides from the earth's soil.

Fish-Friendly Rubber Liner - Super-strong 45-mil EPDM liner is the best choice when building a pond. It is very flexible and conforms to the pond's curves and slopes.

High-Efficiency Pump - The pump sits in the back pump chamber protected from clogging by nets and filter mats. Blue Thumb pumps are recommended because they use far less electricity and are meant to operate continuously.

Mechanical Skimmer Box - Simplifies routine maintenance by removing floating debris before it sinks to the bottom of the pond. It protects the pump and hides unsightly plumbing.
