For pond-less waterfalls, a pump moves water from a hidden reservoir through plumbing to the spillway. Water then flows down the stream and recirculates into the underground basin.
Proper placement, leveling, and liner connections are essential for reliable waterfall performance.
Choose the spillway position, prepare a stable base, and route the water supply line.
Level the spillway side to side, with a slight forward tilt of approximately 1/4 bubble on a 2-foot level.
Use the supplied 2-inch elbow and follow our installation guide for the liner connection and watertight sealing.
Check water flow and connections before concealing the spillway with surrounding rockwork.
Leave some extra liner around the spillway for adjustments. Position surrounding rocks to direct water into the lined stream instead of behind the waterfall.
Not sure which spillway or pump is right for your project? Our Sales/Tech Team can help you select compatible equipment for your waterfall installation.
No. PB2866 is the individual spillway box. A pump, reservoir, liner, and other waterfall-system components are sold separately.
Pump selection depends on your desired waterfall appearance, vertical lift, plumbing length, and system configuration. The published maximum pump flow is 7,800 GPH, but this is not a required operating flow. Contact our Sales/Tech Team for help sizing your pump.
Yes, provided your installation has adequate space, suitable plumbing, and compatible water flow. Compare the spillway dimensions and 2-inch inlet before ordering.
Yes. Our Elite Spillways are designed for pond-less waterfalls and cascading streams. The pump and hidden reservoir continuously recirculate water through the waterfall.
Proper liner placement and rockwork are essential. Our installation guide recommends sealing gaps around waterfall stones with waterfall foam to help direct water over the visible rockwork and back into the lined stream.
Winter care depends on whether your waterfall remains operating or is shut down. Check for ice dams and water loss when running in freezing conditions. For shutdown, follow our maintenance guide for pump storage and spillway cleaning.
