Mechanical and biological filtration
The Signature Series 1000 Pond Skimmer captures surface debris and protects the pump, while the Signature Series 2500 BioFalls® Filter provides biological filtration and starts the waterfall.
Aquascape professional-grade pond kit
Build a complete backyard ecosystem pond with coordinated filtration, adjustable water flow, warm-white LED lighting, automatic treatment dosing, liner, underlayment, plumbing, and installation supplies. This exact kit pairs Aquascape’s 11′ × 16′ layout with the app-enabled AquaSurge® 2000-4000 Adjustable Flow Pond Pump.
The Signature Series 1000 Pond Skimmer captures surface debris and protects the pump, while the Signature Series 2500 BioFalls® Filter provides biological filtration and starts the waterfall.
The included AquaSurge® pump and Smart Pump Receiver let you adjust flow and schedules through the Aquascape Smart Control App or use the receiver’s on-board controls.
Two 3-watt spotlights and one low-profile 1-watt waterfall light add warm-white illumination to the pond, waterfall, and surrounding landscape.
The 11′ × 16′ measurement describes the finished pond, not the total work area. Plan additional space for the 21″ × 22″ × 26.5″ Signature Series 1000 Pond Skimmer, the 24″ × 29.5″ × 20″ Signature Series 2500 BioFalls® Filter, the waterfall or stream, equipment access, excavated soil, and finished landscaping.
The included 15′ × 20′ liner is sized for a pond up to 11′ × 16′ with a maximum depth of 2′. If your design is deeper, longer, wider, or includes a substantial stream, contact us before ordering so we can help confirm the liner and plumbing plan.
Major components are grouped below so you can see how the system fits together.
Rocks and gravel are recommended to complete the pond but are not included. Fish, aquatic plants, excavation, electrical work, and finished landscaping are also not listed as kit contents. Verify access for excavation and material delivery, and plan a code-compliant outdoor electrical supply before installation.

Specifications below apply to the AquaSurge® version sold on this page.
This is a substantial landscape project involving excavation, leveling, liner work, plumbing, filtration, stone placement, and electrical planning. Follow the official manuals for complete instructions.
Lay out the finished pond, waterfall, skimmer, BioFalls®, plumbing route, equipment access, and electrical location before digging. Position the skimmer opposite the waterfall when practical to support circulation.
Create stable shelves and a maximum pond depth of 24″. Compact and level the skimmer and BioFalls® foundations so the operating water level and spillway elevation are correct.
Remove sharp debris, place the protective underlayment, and position the EPDM liner without tension. Make the skimmer and BioFalls® connections exactly as shown in their manuals.
Place the AquaSurge® pump inside the skimmer, connect the check valve and 2″ flexible PVC pipe, and route water to the BioFalls®. Keep plumbing accessible until leak testing is complete.
Add separately purchased rock and gravel to stabilize and naturalize the pond. Shape the waterfall, conceal liner edges without pulling them tight, and keep service access clear.
Fill the pond, detoxify new water as appropriate, check every connection, prime the system, and confirm flow before finishing the surrounding landscape. Set the Dosing System SL for the actual pond volume.
Connect the 120V pump only to a properly grounded, outdoor-rated GFCI receptacle protected from rain and snow. Do not use an extension cord. Have a qualified electrician complete required wiring and verify local-code compliance. Disconnect power before maintenance, never lift the pump by its cord, and do not operate the pump dry.
Mount the Smart Pump Receiver above ground in a cool, shaded location. The pump is designed to operate inside the included skimmer and should not be placed unfiltered directly in the pond.
Warranty periods differ by component; no single warranty period applies to the entire kit.
Review the owner’s manual and component instructions before installation.

Our Sales/Tech Team can help you review site fit, included components, electrical planning, installation questions, and whether this is the right kit for your landscape.
It includes the major pond structure, filtration, pump, plumbing, warm-white lighting, automatic dosing, and installation supplies listed above. Rocks and gravel are recommended to complete the pond but are not included. Fish, aquatic plants, excavation, electrical work, and finished landscaping are not listed as included.
The included liner and underlayment are specified for a finished pond up to 11′ × 16′ with a maximum depth of 2′. The total project area must be larger to accommodate the skimmer, BioFalls®, waterfall, access, and landscaping.
Yes. The included Smart Pump Receiver connects the AquaSurge® pump to the Aquascape Smart Control App for flow adjustment and scheduling. The receiver supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and also provides on-board controls.
The pump operates on 120V AC, 60 Hz and must connect to a properly grounded, outdoor-rated GFCI receptacle. The lighting uses the included low-voltage transformer. Do not use an extension cord for the pump; have a qualified electrician address required wiring and local-code requirements.
Yes. The included 45 mil EPDM liner is identified by Aquascape as fish safe. Successful fish and plant care still depends on responsible stocking, water treatment, circulation, aeration, and climate-appropriate seasonal care.
Maintenance varies with debris load, stocking, weather, and season. Expect to empty the skimmer basket as needed, remove excess organic debris, inspect pump screens when flow changes, replace dosing treatment and wear parts, top off evaporation, and perform seasonal care.
If you run the system through winter, check it regularly and prevent ice from blocking circulation or creating a dam. If you shut it down, remove and clean the pump, store it in a frost-free location, and properly drain and winterize plumbing and check valves. Maintain an opening in the ice for gas exchange when fish remain in the pond.
Professional installation is not stated as mandatory, but this is a large landscape project. It is best suited to an experienced DIY installer or pond professional who can manage excavation, elevations, liner penetrations, plumbing, rock placement, and code-compliant electrical planning.
