Matched Mechanical & Biological Filtration
The Signature Series 1000 Pond Skimmer captures surface debris and houses the pump, while the Signature Series 6000 BioFalls® provides biological filtration and forms the head of the waterfall.
Professional-grade ecosystem pond kit
Aquascape kit #53036 brings the major circulation, filtration, liner, lighting, plumbing and treatment components together for a finished ecosystem pond up to 21' × 26' with a maximum depth of 2'. This configuration includes the app-capable AquaSurge® 4000–8000 Adjustable Flow Pond Pump, giving you control over the waterfall flow without replacing the pump.
The Signature Series 1000 Pond Skimmer captures surface debris and houses the pump, while the Signature Series 6000 BioFalls® provides biological filtration and forms the head of the waterfall.
The AquaSurge 4000–8000 pump is designed for continuous submersed operation and connects to the Aquascape Smart Control App for remote flow adjustment and scheduling.
Liner, underlayment, plumbing, check valve, warm-white lighting, dosing equipment and installation consumables are supplied together, reducing the uncertainty of matching major components separately.
Set dosing to the actual pond volume and follow the treatment label and Dosing System SL instructions.
Review the site, utility locations, manuals and final pond layout before excavation. This kit coordinates the principal hardware, but it does not replace construction planning or local code requirements.
Plan the finished pond, waterfall, skimmer and BioFalls positions together. Mark underground utilities and provide access for excavation, soil removal and large components.
Arrange a fill-water source and properly grounded, outdoor-rated GFCI protection. Electrical work and connections must comply with applicable local codes.
Create the pond shape and shelves to the planned dimensions. Remove sharp material, install the underlayment and place the liner without stretching it.
Install and level the skimmer and BioFalls, attach the liner correctly, run the 2" flexible PVC and install the check valve according to the component manuals.
Position the lights, complete rock and gravel work, fill the pond, treat new water as needed and test every connection before finishing the surrounding landscape.
Run the pump continuously during the operating season, establish biological filtration and add fish or plants gradually only after water conditions are suitable.
Empty the skimmer basket as debris accumulates, remove excess organic material, monitor the water level, inspect pump flow and keep the BioFalls media from becoming obstructed.
Evaporation may require top-offs. Treat replacement water appropriately before it reaches fish, and keep the pump running to support circulation, oxygen and biological filtration.
If the waterfall runs in freezing weather, monitor for ice dams. If you shut the pump down, remove it and store it in a frost-free location. Ponds with fish need an opening in the ice for gas exchange.
Read the relevant manuals before installation and keep them available for startup, maintenance and winter care.

Our Sales/Tech Team can help you review the site footprint, included component generation, electrical planning and the difference between this Aquascape kit and our 21' × 26' Blue Thumb Elite Pond Kit.
It includes the principal liner, underlayment, pump, skimmer, BioFalls, plumbing, lighting, dosing and installation components listed above. Rocks and gravel are recommended to complete the pond but are not included. Excavation, electrical service, fill water, labor, fish, plants and surrounding landscape materials are also not listed as included.
Those are maximum finished dimensions with a maximum depth of 2'. The final shape and water volume depend on the shelves, curves, waterfall layout and construction. Do not use the maximum pond dimensions as the total jobsite footprint.
Yes. The included AquaSurge 4000–8000 Adjustable Flow Pump is Aquascape Smart Control App capable, allowing compatible mobile control and scheduling once the pump is configured on the site's network.
No. Aquascape's current specification for the standard Large Pond Kit lists two 3-watt spotlights and one 1-watt waterfall light in its warm-white LED lighting package. Color-changing lighting is associated with the Large Deluxe Pond Kit.
Aquascape's current #53036 kit page lists a Dosing System SL with starter water treatment. Older Blue Thumb imagery and copy show the prior Automatic Dosing System for Ponds, so contact us before ordering if the exact dosing-system generation is important.
During normal pond operation, continuous circulation is recommended to maintain oxygen, filtration and aerobic bacteria. Follow the pump manual and adjust seasonal operation for your climate and pond inhabitants.
A 2-foot depth can support overwintering in many settings, but climate, fish load and construction all matter. Maintain a hole in the ice for gas exchange, use appropriate aeration or de-icing equipment and follow local cold-weather guidance.
Warranty coverage is component-specific. Verified coverage includes limited lifetime warranties for the Signature Series 1000 Skimmer and Signature Series 6000 BioFalls, a 3-year limited warranty for the AquaSurge pump, a 5-year warranty for the LED light fixtures, a 1-year limited warranty for the transformer and a 20-year guarantee for the 45 mil EPDM liner. Terms and exclusions apply.
