Before You Install

Keep the air pump dry, protected from weather, dust, and debris, and preferably above the pond’s water level. Never submerge the pump. Connect it only to a properly grounded GFCI-protected receptacle, and do not use an extension cord.

Installation and Seasonal Use

  1. Place the air pump in a dry, protected location above the pond’s water level whenever possible.
  2. Connect each airline’s check-valve end to one of the four pump outlets.
  3. Attach a diffuser disc to the opposite end of each airline and space the discs apart to improve circulation throughout the pond.
  4. Plug the pump into a properly grounded GFCI-protected receptacle.

Winter Placement

For winter operation, do not leave the diffuser discs at the deepest point of the pond. Position them approximately 1 to 1.5 feet below the surface so they can help maintain gas exchange without unnecessarily disturbing the deeper water where fish overwinter. Maintenance and Replacement Parts

Periodically inspect the airlines for kinks, damage, or obstructions and confirm that the check valves point in the direction of airflow toward the pond. Mineral deposits, algae, and debris can gradually restrict the diffuser discs.

To restore airflow, remove affected discs, soak them in white vinegar, gently clean them with a soft brush, rinse thoroughly, and reinstall. If cleaning does not restore performance, use the compatible Aquascape replacement aeration disc.

A gradual loss of pump pressure may indicate normal diaphragm wear. Always unplug the pump before inspection or service.
