How to Use

  1. Estimate your pond volume: Length (ft.) × Width (ft.) × Average Depth (ft.) × 7.5 = approximate gallons.
  2. Use during the cold-water season. Blue Thumb’s current catalog lists an operating range of 35°F–55°F.
  3. Apply at a rate of one packet per 1,000 gallons, following all current package-label directions.
  4. Repeat once per week while pond-water temperature remains within the recommended range.
  5. Remove accessible piles of leaves and large debris by hand or with a pond net; the bacteria treatment supports physical maintenance but does not replace it.

Important Treatment Timing

Wait at least four to five days after applying an algaecide before adding Spring & Fall Clean. Algaecides can kill the beneficial bacteria in this treatment.

What You Receive

Your selection includes 12 or 24 water-soluble treatment packets. Each packet treats 1,000 gallons per application.

This is a seasonal bacteria treatment, not a complete pond-maintenance or winterization kit. Nets, thermometers, aeration equipment, de-icers, and other seasonal accessories are sold separately.
