Warranty Information


Plastics Lifetime Warranty

Blue Thumb offers a lifetime warranty on all Blue Thumb-branded engineered plastic components, including:

  • AquaBox® Fountain Basin Reservoirs
  • Formal Falls® Basins
  • Skimmer & Waterfall Filters
  • Pump Canyons®
  • Cascade and Spillway Boxes
  • Canyon Matrix™

This warranty ensures these components are free from manufacturing defects for the original purchaser. Blue Thumb reserves the right to approve or deny claims based on product analysis.

Warranty Conditions:

  • Products must be installed according to the Blue Thumb installation manual.
  • Any modifications made after purchase will void the warranty.
  • Compensation is limited to the value of the merchandise sold or replaced and does not cover labor or freight costs.

Pump Limited Warranty

Blue Thumb warranties its branded submersible pumps for the following periods:

Pump warranty periods begin from time of consumer\end-user purchase.

  • Mag-Drive Pumps: 5 years (impeller not included)
  • Clear Water & Solids Handling Pumps: 18 months
  • IllumiFlow® Pumps: 2 years
  • Stainless Steel Pumps:  2 years
  • External Pumps: 3 years (requires special winterizing & care for warranty eligibility)

Warranty Conditions:

Pumps may not be covered under warranty if:

  • They were improperly installed as per the specifications on the pump box or instruction guide.
  • The cord was damaged due to improper handling.
  • The seal was damaged or the plug-end was removed.

Formal Falls® Limited Warranty

Blue Thumb warrants the Formal Falls® system to be free from defects in workmanship for at least 1 year from the date of purchase.

Warranty Conditions:

  • Credit or replacement is subject to product failure analysis.
  • Damage caused by improper use of chemicals or salt is not covered.
  • Compensation is limited to the value of the merchandise sold or replaced and does not cover labor costs.

Light Fixture & Bulb Warranty

LED Fixtures: 1-year warranty from the date of purchase.

• Covers molded housings, including o-ring seals and ceramic connections, against manufacturing defects.

Excxeption:

IllumiGlow® Fountain & Pond 3-Light Kit (Item #PB2897) features a 3-year limited warranty.


Returns & Warranty Claims Policy

Blue Thumb may apply a restocking fee for returned goods that are:

• In like-new, saleable condition

• Still in season

 

Return Requirements:

Original invoice must accompany all returns.

• A Return Goods Receipt Number (RGR#) is required and must be clearly marked on the outside of each package.

• To obtain an RGR#, please contact Blue Thumb before returning merchandise.

Special orders and custom-cut/engineered items cannot be returned.

• Customers are responsible for return shipping and handling costs.

In-Warranty Goods

Do not accept items damaged in shipping. Please inspect all items before signing for the shipped package.

Defective items may be returned to the
re-seller without a restocking fee during the product’s warranty period.

 

Warranty Return Requirements:

  • Customers are responsible for returning items and covering freight costs.
  • Each return must include:
    • The original invoice with the purchase date
    • A Return Goods Receipt Number (RGR#) To request RGR# call 989-921-3474
